FOREST SCHOOL NURSERY & CHILDREN’S HOLIDAY CAMPS
IN THE HEART OF PUTNEY
outdoor nursery
We are a full time outdoor education nursery for children aged 2-5 years old operating from 9am until 3pm.
Our aim is to help our children have the best possible start to life physically, emotionally and cognitively.
Holiday Camps
Giving space and allowing those wonderful sparks of imagination to flourish is important for our children while they rest, rejuvenate and reset during the school holidays, and our dynamic outdoor sessions offer exactly that.
wild about play
At Wild about Play, we deliver engaging, exciting and dynamic forest school education to spark, inspire and extend childrenās imagination and learning at nursery and primary school age. With birds-eye views of Putney Common and Woods from our rooftop base camp at Oasis Academy, Putney, we run our Ofsted-approved outdoor nursery all year round with outdoor learning camps during school holiday breaks.
Wild About Play’s
Mission
Our mission is simple: āTo help our children have fun, feel free, explore and progress their inner strengths through playful learning in and while caring for local nature.ā
Outdoor education for the community.
Our wonderful, highly-qualified practitioners curate sessions that incorporate the natural world and the EYFS curriculum into our childrenās education ensuring they unleash their full potential. Children are encouraged to explore their surroundings and spearhead their learning through a mix of fun physical, musical, artistic and construction challenges. The calming and rich effects of nature coupled with skilled adult support provides the framework to support meaningful play,Ā enriching learning and developing key skills such as enquiry, expression, experimentation and team work.
At Wild About Play (WaP) we do not rest until children can be mindful and motivated to follow their path and express themselves. Our WaP way is about developing and extending personal and social skills that will be there to guide them through the rest of their lives, ensuring our children of tomorrow are not just school ready and thriving but also life ready and resilient.
